"Arah!"

Quand les 8 Pillards m’ont invité à résider et exposer chez eux, ça a été une évidence de proposer à Léon une collaboration pour un dessin grand format. “Arah!” c’est une installation audio visuelle de 6 minutes. Elle est composée d’un dessin au charbon monumental de 7 m sur 6 augmenté par du son et de la vidéoprojection. « Arah! » c’est l’histoire d’un cri, c’est le cri du guetteur dans le trafic, le lanceur d’alerte. C’ est l’annonciateur, d’un danger, d’un drame, d’une catastrophe. Il y’a une portée assez forte dans ce cri, et on trouve que ce cri symbolise assez bien notre époque.

When the 8 Pillards invited me to live and exhibit at their place, it was obvious to propose to Léon a collaboration for a large format drawing. « Arah » is a 6 minutes audio visual installation. It is composed of a monumental charcoal drawing of 7 m on 6 m increased by sound and video projection. Arah is the story of a cry, it is the cry of the lookout in the traffic, the alarm thrower. It is the herald of a danger, of a drama, of a catastrophe. There is a rather strong range in this cry, and we find that this cry symbolizes rather well our time.
